Welcome to "The Crow Revisited" project...
This is a non-profit, fan made tribute to the
late Brandon Lee, to James O' Barr, and Pressman Films...
The idea behind this project comes solely out of love and
respect for all who were involved in the
film " The Crow " released May 13th, 1994. After the loss
of the late Brandon Lee, much sacrifice
to the film was made. We believe it was his wish to see
it through. To see it the way it was meant to
be seen. Brandon wished this film to be in black and
white. James O' Barr, creator of " The Crow "
comic book series makes a strong point. The fact that
we will never ever see another frame of footage
from this wonderful actor, is enough reason, to
complete this film. Due to the costs involved in restoring
footage, Pressman films has as of yet not released
a director's cut of this film... We the fans, have decided
to help... We are going to pull our resources together,
along with our humble talents, and attempt to
to "Re-visit" the crow... Much debate has gone on as
to what to include, and what not to include,
it seems, there is no way to please everyone. So, the
theory as of now, is we will attempt to include everything
we can, and hopefully, the fans of this film will overlook
what they don't like, and embrace what they do...
This revisited version of " The Crow " will be in
black and white, with the flashback sequences in color
in the format that only Alex Proyas a wonderful
director could have achieved. We will attempt to restore
decent quality and format to much of the deleted and
extended scenes not seen in the original film. Some things
you will not understand, most you will.
But if you love the crow, it should be enough to know,
that somebody, somewhere is doing it.
We have not been able to contact successfully "Pressman Films"
to ask permission, and we are not trying to make money from
this project. All we wish to achieve is the fun and
experience of achieving this goal. We hope it will
be finished before the 10th Anniversary of the original
release date... We will post clips of our work
from time to time, just to keep you up on our progress.
If we cannot reach Pressman Films by the time
we are finished, there will only be 10 copies of this
project sent out. They are already slotted for who
they are for. The first copy goes to "James O' Barr"
I can tell you that much... Brandon, we miss you, James,
we love you, and Ed, thank you for all you've done to
keep this film alive for us. Keep bringing us " The Crow ",
remember... The fans are behind you 100%....
Sincerely,
David J & Chris Collins
